The Ethnographic Museum of the Valle Cannobina is located in the centre of the old village: clothes, lace, toys, ceramics as well as numerous wooden working tools attest to a predominantly agricultural culture and offer a comprehensive insight into the life of yesteryear.

In the "Piazza della Repubblica" between the Ethnographic Museum and Luigi Dresti's grocery shop is the "Circolo Degli Scozzesi" (The Scottish Club), the successor to the legendary "Scotch Bar".

We are lucky in Gurro to have a local store; a luxury that many villages in the Cannobina Valley no longer have! Luigi's grocery store is located in "Via della Chiesa", which branches off from the village square and the Circolo Degli Scozzesi.
